Whalers Retreat is a superb 2 storey, 3 bedroom cottage in a quiet pocket of Hyams Beach. Offering modern conveniences, it retains the charm of the original whalers cottages. Comfortably sleeping 6 it is ideal for a couple or family group. French doors opening onto 2 verandahs, offer beautiful views across Jervis Bay to Pt Perpendicular. Fully self contained with a traditional fireplace, polished floors, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, gas BBQ and outdoor settings.

Location
Whalers Retreat is located just opposite and a short stroll to the famous white sands of Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay. You can lie in bed and hear the waves breaking on the shoreline for a lazy sleep in, or take in the many attractions our local area has to offer. Booderee National park is 10 minute drive away, as are the local villages of Vincentia and Huskisson if you feel like a change of scenery, or maybe enjoy a whale watching or dolphin cruise.

Key Features
The Whalers Retreat is conveniently located just behind the original Whalers cottages in Hyams Beach. This home has beautiful polished timber floor boards, and bespoke french doors, leading onto a large deck area to enjoy alfresco dining. In the winter months, take advantage of the beautiful open fire place for a nice romantic getaway perfect for your honeymoon or maybe enjoy some board games with the kids, or relax with one of the many movies on offer in the DVD library. Complete with WIFI.

Configuration –
Entering the property you will find the open planned living, dining and kitchen. Downstairs there is a laundry (freshly renovated) with a washing machine and dryer, a shower, and toilet completes this space. The French doors from the dining area open up onto a large deck for outdoor dining and a BBQ is also located here. Upstairs, you will find the 3 bedrooms and the main bathroom (freshly renovated) and toilet. The 2 queen bedrooms open up to a lovely balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee, and start you day with the most amazing sunrise you will probably ever see. The views across the Bay to Point Perpendicular make for a beautiful night time view underneath a sky littered with stars.

Outdoors
The outdoor deck has a large outdoor dining table, with umbrella, and a BBQ for guest use. The abundant trees offer respite from the summer sun, and allow you to enjoy the views to the water. The birds will keep you company out here, and the resident kangaroo might pop by for a visit. The beach is just across the road and the Hyams beach cafe is a 30 meter walk for you to be able to leave the car, to truly enjoy a beach holiday.

Heating and Cooling
An open fire place keeps you toasty warm in winter. Reverse cycle air conditioning in downstairs living area. There is also an electric heater. The sea breeze will keep you cool in summer but just in case there are ceiling or pedestal fans in all rooms.

Parking
There is off street parking provided for one car in front of the house, and plenty of off street parking for any other vehicles.

Whalers Retreat is not pet friendly.

Minimum stay
Weekends – Friday, Saturday & Sunday – 2 night minimum.
Mid Week – Monday to Friday – 2 night minimum stay.
There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and seven night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of the Australia Day long weekend in January.

MINIMUM STAYS – All bookings are a minimum 2 night stay which changes to 3 night stays on June and October Long Weekends and April School Holidays (Excluding Easter Weekend) Easter Weekend is a 4 Night Minimum Stay at High Season Rates Mid December to End January is a 7 Night Minimum Stay

Parties and Functions
This property is in a residential area with permanent residents near by. We have a no party, no noise policy.
If we get a complaint from a neighbour you will be asked to vacate immediately plus full bond will be claimed.  No questions asked.
If you are planning a party please book elsewhere.
