Palm House is a renovated, light and airy, 2 storey home. Located in a quiet street, just a short walk to the Beach. Having lovely district and water views at rear.
It is also conveniently located to shops, cafes and restaurants. Hyams Beach is only a 7 minute drive. There is a great walking and bike track close by that hugs the coastline.
As you enter on the ground level there is a large retreat, that sleeps up to 4 (2 single beds and a set of bunks) and contains everything to keep everyone entertained. There is a 40 inch HD TV that has NETFLIX available on it that you can access by using your phone as a hotspot. We have set up a Palm House account for our guests to use which will appear on the TV when you click on NETFLIX. There is a large selection of DVDs, a DVD player and IPod dock, board games and a selection of toys. Chill on the 3 seater sofa or the comfy bean bags supplied. Such practicalities as a coffee table, wardrobe and games table, also supplied. This room has its own adjoining bathroom and through the back sliding doors you can directly access the back yard where theres plenty of room to kick a ball and run around.
Please note that the reason we chose not to have WIFI is the service is terrible and very slow in the area so its much easier to use your mobile as a hotspot when streaming.
Also on this level, there is a well-equipped laundry that offers a washing machine, dryer and a large 2nd fridge for overflow drinks and food. The laundry is conveniently located from the front entry for all your sandy swimsuits and towels plus a doorway that leads you straight out the back, to the clothes line.
Upstairs consists of an open plan living area with a large oval dining table that extends to seat 10 comfortably. Throw open both the front and back double sliding doors and enjoy the cool sea breezes from Jervis Bay. Relax here on our large comfy corner couch and occasional chairs, watch TV on a second 40 inch HDTV plus a Bluray player. You can stream your choice of music on the blu tooth speaker supplied. Eat Alfresco on the main deck whilst enjoying the beautiful district and water views at rear. You can watch the kids play on the lawn below.
Provided is a top of the line Ziegler and Brown BBQ as well as an outdoor dining table and separate umbrella and stand provided in the summer months.
The kitchen is freshly renovated with European stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, convection cooktop and oven, range hood and microwave plus a large stainless steel fridge. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything youll need to prepare, cook and serve meals for up to 10.
We supply a Nespresso coffee machine and Aeroccino, 4 piece family toaster with crumpet and fruit toast settings. The kettle is modern and features boiling settings for herbal and regular teas.
Upstairs features 3 double bedrooms, all with brand new Mattresses and bedding, with a fresh modern feel. Bedroom 1 and 2 feature Queen Size beds, both with built in wardrobes and the 3rd, a double bed. All our bedrooms have side tables, lamps, fans and laundry hampers and baskets, full length mirrors and space for you to unpack your belongings and really settle in during your stay.
The upstairs bathroom is a three way configuration consisting of separate toilet, shower and bath plus a modern double ceramic vanity, ideal for large families and perfect for avoiding bathroom traffic jams.
There is also an Ironing board and iron, hair dryer, clock radios and porto cot.
Palm House is in a lovely quiet street with lots of tree`s around and beautiful views to the water and distant mountains. The shops, beach, walking and bike track are all in walking distance.
The best way to get around is either by walking, bike riding or by car.
Pillows, Quilts and Quilt covers are provided. You will need to bring your own bed linen and towels. We do provide a linen hire service for a very reasonable price. We can organise all of this for you if required and it means no extra washing when you get home!
